Congratulations to Calista Apostol for breaking the AVHS girls’ triple jump record at the 2021 Mojave River League Finals. Her jump of 36′ 1/2″ surpassed Wendy Lee’s record mark of 35′ 8″, set 36 years ago in 1985. Earlier this year Calista also eclipsed the girls’ high jump record with a jump of 5′ 6″. Micki Rogers’ record of 5′, 4.5″ had endured since 1993.
